3WA led the design of this mixed use scheme for 302 residential units, 120 very sheltered housing units, 17,500 sq ft of B1 commercial office and 6,000 sq ft of retail space. All the buildings are tied together by comprehensive landscaping including a new public square. The site has essentially been divided into three site sections: Airpoint, Monica Wills House and West Street. The site was acquired by the client with planning consent for 100 houses, 3WA managed to increase the density to around 550 units by retaining the existing buildings and using the roofs as amenity space.
