3WA’s aim was to create an all year round destination resort with a recognisable and appropriate sense of space that unites Morecambe’s best architecture within a modern contemporary framework.

The ground floor of the proposal has been given over totally to the public with shops, conference facilities, open public performance spaces, food markets, food courts, swimming and leisure facilities, winter gardens, cafés, and sports facilities such as badminton, tennis and squash, all located under one roof. The scheme’s mixed uses ensure a vibrant and sustainable environment that successfully unite Morecambe with its past and its seafront.
