Ryvers ‘After School Club’ is a new centre in a primary school in Berkshire. 3WA were asked to provide a building that could be easily adaptable to the differing educational needs of children between the ages of 3 and 12.
We designed a simple steel-framed pavilion with sliding partitions to provide adaptable spaces for learning and play, and a building that could be quickly constructed using prefabrication technology. The scheme also utilises a grass roof to blend the building into its surroundings and to act as a thermal blanket.
3WA gained planning permission and the project is awaiting funding.
